WHO AM I ?
My name is Daryl and this is my new personal website.
I was born in 1965 and live one my own in a specially adapted bungalow because of my conditions... I have Alzheimer's Disease and Parkinson's Disease .

A little update...
It has been a very hectic few weeks since my mother was reunited with my stepfather, when he was finally granted full-time care by the social services - at long last, I have been able to look at my future, and what my plans are for myself.
My social worker came and saw me and we discussed what I would like to do and what I needed for the future... I have never really considered any of this before, because, to be frank, with the care needs of my Mam and stepdad, I never really thought about me.
We decided that along with the two hours care support package that I already have, to help me with my finances, shopping and money management, an additional four more hours would be added to this package per week, enabling me to be able to gout for an afternoon, with my support worker, and go on little jaunts, visit shopping malls, have a 'cuppa' in a cafe or restaurant etc... things that I am afraid I just cannot manage on my own - not only because of my Alzheimers, but also because of the restrictions caused by my Parkinson's Disease too.
This is something that I shall really look forward too - I don't go out anywhere because of my conditions, and so therefore these extra few hours support will make all the difference to me!
